Can You Help?

1. Participate in, Organize or Sponsor a  Event.  Contact CHPHP regarding special and ongoing events including: Routes for Homeless People, Outreach For People In Need, Adopt A Family Program, Adopt A Teen Program, Rent Supplement Program, Fund For People in Need, Animal Outreach, Thanksgiving In A Box Program, Theater Program, Transitional Counseling, The Speakers Bureau and Community Picnic and Softball Games.  We can even help you start a chapter of CHPHP in your area.

2. One Time, Once a Month or on an Ongoing Basis, Collect One or More Item:

Sleeping Bags (new/old)

 

Scarves/Gloves (new/old)

Warm Hats/Caps (new/old)

Socks

Backpacks (new/old)

Travel Bags (new/old)

Chapstick/Sunblock (new)

Combs/Brushes (new)

Shampoo and Conditioner (new)

Hand/Body Lotion/Foot Powder (new)

Travel Sewing Kit (new/old)

Plastic Grocery Bags
Donate items to CHPHP for distribution.

3. Make Toiletry Gift Bags.  Discuss what a homeless child, teen and/or adult might need on the street.  Collect, sort items and assemble individual gift bags using white/brown lunch bags, which can be decorated, or plastic gallon size zip lock bags. Donate bags to CHPHP for distribution.

4. Have a Penny Drive for CHPHP!  For every 16 pennies, CHPHP can purchase a pound of food from the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank.  Every penny counts!

5. Financial Donations are Always Appreciated.  All donations are tax-deductible.  Make checks payable to Nos Amis/Our Friends, Inc., CHPHP.  We appreciate your support!

6. Gift Acknowledgment Cards are Available. At your request, CHPHP will send a lovely Gift Acknowledgement Card notifying those you wish to honor with your gift.

7. Prepare a Thanksgiving In A Box Feast.  With a turkey certificate and canned/packaged/dry foods, prepare a wonderful feast in a box, bag or basket at Thanksgiving.  No perishable food or glass jars.  Donate to CHPHP for distribution.

8. Adopt A Family or Adopt A Teen Program. Share your compassion and holiday spirit.

9. Donate Funds/Building for CHPHP Volunteer Center.   Donate funds/building, an old store front/building/warehouse/former church/abandoned school of 5,000+ square feet with parking in West Los Angeles, for the CHPHP Volunteer Center.
